Today we brewed a new beer for the World Cup, which we have brewed in collaboration with a new brewery in Brazil. Henrique and Zezzo visited us in 2013 before completing their own brewery in Blumenau, the craft brewing centre of Brazil. Paddy’s son, Jack, visited their brewery in April to see how they were getting on. The new brewery is called ‘Container’ (possibly sounding sexier with a Brazilian accent!) and they are now brewing 3 beers.
Both breweries will be brewing the same beer, a blonde beer using guava and acai fruit which are known to work well in such beers in Brazil. We will also both be using Football Stadiums to name our beers – Container’s beer will be called Wembley and Webrew’s will be named Maracana, the site of the final later in the summer (which will no doubt feature England!)
You can find out more about Maracana or buy it online here
